OREANDA-NEWS The companies of the agro-industrial complex, which took part in the International Food and Beverage Exhibition World Food Istanbul under the national brand Made in Russia, held with the support of the Russian Export Center (part of VEB.Russia) has almost 500 meetings with possible business partners, the export potential of the negotiations is almost $ 30 million, the center reports.

"At the national exhibition Made in Russia, organized by the REC (VEB Group.The Russian Federation), 36 Russian manufacturers of leguminous and finished products, beverages, confectionery, food ingredients, as well as packaging and equipment for the food industry took part," the message says.

It is noted that in four days, from September 3-6, the companies held negotiations with Turkish retail chains, the largest importers of agricultural products, distributors of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as specialized associations and associations. On the first day of the exhibition, the Made in Russia exposition was visited by the Consul General and employees of the Russian trade mission in Turkey.

"Despite the long-term presence of Russian agricultural producers in the Turkish market and the presence of well-established ties, domestic products continue to arouse considerable interest among Turkish partners. In addition to grain, leguminous and fat-and-oil products, which are traditionally in demand in Turkey, the supply of Russian alcohol, confectionery and snack products has recently increased. Participation in the exhibition also allowed Russian exporters to establish contacts with leading potential buyers from the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia," said Timur Safin, representative of the REC in Turkey.

For the participants of the Made in Russia exposition, the Russian Export Center also held a multilateral meeting with the operator of the permanent demonstration and tasting pavilion of agricultural products in Istanbul. The pavilion program is jointly implemented by the REC and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.

The companies received recommendations on entering retail chains and marketplaces in Turkey, as well as figured out the specifics of customs procedures and certification of products exported to Turkey.
