OREANDA-NEWS Chinese manufacturers, who use the same principle of connecting parts as Lego, have moved from copying to creating their own products and can offer analogues of the designers of the Danish toy company, which previously suspended imports to Russia. This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by the founder of the federal toy store chain TOY.EN Alice Lobanova.

"In the Chinese market, you can find almost any designers — exact copies of Lego sets, analogues of easily compatible parts, own designs of some companies, which in quality and price are not much different from the original," she said.

Lobanova stressed that Chinese manufacturers have the most popular military kits, which Lego does not have, as well as sets for creating toy weapons and sets with a large number of parts, the latter are two or three times cheaper than the original.

The expert also added that in the 4+ product segment, market players use contact manufacturing in China and Russification of packaging. Also in the segment of designers for preschoolers are the Belarusian Polessie and the Russian—German company Bauer, which are inferior in quality and playability to Lego. The closest analogues, she noted, can be considered Megablocks from Mattel. According to Lobanova, it is more difficult to find an analogue in the 0-4 year segment, the leader is Lego Duplo, they have interesting sets with a Disney license, superheroes and a railway.

Earlier it was reported that the manufacturer of Lego constructors began to close some of the certified stores in Russia. It was noted that some stores will be temporarily closed due to a shortage of goods, which was formed due to the cessation of supplies of products to Russia against the background of a special operation in Ukraine.
