OREANDA-NEWS. MEP from France, member of the European Parliament Committee on Security and Defense Herve Juvin said that the United States and Great Britain want to subjugate the European Union through the conflict in Ukraine, TASS reports.

“The real challenge is not Ukraine. For the US and the UK, the main challenge is the subjugation of the EU and the destruction of any will to independence on the part of the EU. I think that the British are trying to use a wonderful opportunity to take revenge on the European Union, since they never supported the conditions on which they had to leave the Commonwealth, ”Juvin said.

The United States, according to the MEP, acts as a fomenter of the conflict and a beneficiary - by excluding Russian gas supplies, the United States wants to enter the EU market with its own, less environmentally friendly and more expensive. At the same time, the supply of weapons to Ukraine from the USA, Great Britain and the EU countries could not stop the conflict, but ignited it even more.

“This is especially true for some volunteer units that use stylized Nazi symbols. I am simply shocked how democracies can arm the Nazis, and I honestly do not understand how massive arms deliveries can contribute to a peaceful settlement, ”Juvin said.

Earlier, the largest faction of the European Parliament called for "excluding Russia from the European economy."
