OREANDA-NEWS  The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the trips of children from Asian and European countries to the Artek Crimean camp unacceptable and irresponsible. ERR writes about this.

The ministry said that the organization of such camps is an attempt by Russia to create a kind of "network of compatriots" designed for young people and having an ideological program.

Estonian authorities cannot prohibit such trips, but strongly recommend against them. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, in turn, advises citizens to avoid travel to Russia and Ukraine in principle.

There is currently no information about whether there are children from Estonia in Artek.

Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister candidate Kristen Michal called for the disenfranchisement of Russian citizens. According to him, he also advocates the deprivation of the rights of Russians and Belarusians to participate in local government elections.
