OREANDA-NEWS. As Artem Marchevsky, the head of the youth wing of the Ukrainian political force, said on Wednesday, the Ukrainian party Opposition Platform - For Life has started collecting signatures for the registration and production of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in Ukraine.

Earlier Viktor Medvedchuk, the chairman of the political council of the party, announced that the Kharkiv company Biolek sent to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine an application for official state registration of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. The Chief Sanitary Doctor, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko noticed that the talks about the state registration of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 in the country are not really true, and noted that only imported drugs that have successfully overcome the last stage of research will be allowed for usage on the terrotory of the country.

As Marchevsky said on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the Ukrainian authorities are going to purchase "some kind of Chinese vaccine with low efficiency of about 50%, than the Russian Sputnik V, although its effectiveness is 92%, and according to some other studies, 96%."

According to Artem Marchevsky, the collection of signatures on the Russian Sputnik V vaccine has started in three Ukrainian cities of the Donetsk region on the territory controlled by Kiev - Pokrovsk, Dobropolye and Myrnograd.
