OREANDA-NEWS This conclusion was made by British scientists who decided to investigate the dependence of musical tastes and IQ level. They interviewed 36 thousand people from different countries. Scientists figured out what kind of music they prefer to listen to. Also, respondents were offered to pass tests to determine the level of intelligence. 

After analyzing the data, the experts concluded that the interconnectedness of the musical preferences of people and different types of personality really exists. Therefore, having learned what kind of music a person is listening to, it is very likely to assume how high his mental abilities are and what his character is. 

So, a high level of intelligence showed lovers of classical music and jazz, as well as those who listen to rock, heavy metal and alternative music. 

“One of the facts that surprised us the most is that people who love classical music and heavy metal are very similar. Both those and others are creative and spontaneous, subtle personalities, but not very sociable,” said one of the professors. 

The lowest results of IQ tests were shown by fans of rap, hip-hop, r’n’b and pop music. But on the personal characteristics of such people are more open to communication, they have high self-esteem, and they often achieve success in life.
