OREANDA-NEWS The Chinese Embassy in Russia presented Katyusha the panda from the Moscow Zoo with a large box of toys for his birthday, said Svetlana Akulova, Director general of the Moscow Zoo.

On Saturday, August 24, panda Katyusha turned one year old. Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui attended the celebration at the Moscow Zoo.

"By the way, I still haven't shown you what was hidden in this huge box from the Chinese embassy in Russia… I hope Dean Dean won't mind the new toys," Akulova wrote on her Telegram channel.

The first big panda cub in the history of Russia was born in the Moscow Zoo at the end of August 2023. According to the results of voting in the Active Citizen project, the baby was decided to be named Katyusha.
