OREANDA-NEWS  Brazilian authorities are evacuating the country's embassy in Damascus. This is reported by the Brazilian online publication UOL.

"The Planalto Palace ordered the country's embassy in Damascus to evacuate," the portal writes.

According to UOL, the UN will participate in the evacuation. The staff of the diplomatic mission will be transported to Lebanon, but "one local official" will be left in Damascus.

Earlier it became known that the staff of the Belarusian embassy decided to stay in Damascus and continue working after the overthrow of the government in Syria.
