OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Export Center (REC, VEB Group.The Russian Federation) held a tasting of products from Russian manufacturers in the Sakhalin restaurant in Istanbul, the center reports.

"The purpose of the event is to familiarize Turkish consumers with the products presented in the permanent demonstration and tasting pavilion of Russian agricultural products in Turkey," the message says.

The tasting was attended by Turkish distributors and importers, as well as heads of large retail chains such as Migros A.Ş, Maxx Royal, ABV Alkollü Içecekler and others. Turkish influencers with an audience of more than 4 million subscribers also came to evaluate Russian products.

Especially for the event, the leading Istanbul mixologist Aykut Uner, known not only in Turkey but also abroad, created cocktails that maximally revealed the taste characteristics of Russian spirits. The influencers who attended the tasting shared recipes for unique cocktails with subscribers and talked about Russian traditions of drinking drinks.

In total, the products of more than 30 Russian manufacturers of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, delicacies, and confectionery were presented at the tasting. The guests noted the high quality and variety of the products presented.

"This year we held a series of tasting events in Turkey to promote alcoholic beverages presented in the pavilions. For example, Turkish consumers were able to evaluate domestic products during the celebration of Russia Day in Istanbul and Ankara, as well as during a tasting at the largest food exhibition in Turkey, Anfas Food Product. As a result, we managed to bring 25 types of alcoholic beverages from 6 Russian manufacturers to the retail chains of Turkey," said Alexey Solodov, Vice President of the REC.

Agro-industrial complex demonstration and tasting pavilions are one of the government support measures that help businesses increase sales abroad. The program is implemented by the REC and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. Pavilions have been opened in 6 export-promising countries: China, Vietnam, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
