The judges of the Spanish National Court announced sentences to three members of the jihadist center who were involved in the August 2017 attacks in Barcelona.

In particular, Mohammed Hawley was sentenced to 53 years in prison. For Driss Ukabir, the brother of one of the terrorists, the punishment is determined by a duration of 46 years in prison.

Both of them were found guilty of belonging to a terrorist organization; keeping of a weapon, storage, as well as the manufacture of explosive and flammable substances or devices of a terrorist nature and intent to cause damage.

Another defendant, Said bin Yazza, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for collaborating with a terrorist center.

None of the three convicted were directly involved in the attacks, so in early July last year, the Spanish National Court confirmed that they would be judged for murder.

According to media reports, on August 17, 2017, on the tourist boulevard La Rambla in the center of Barcelona, ​​a van driver deliberately hit passers-by.
