Spain Has Announced Sentences for Three Jihadists Involved in Terrorist Attacks in Catalonia
The judges of the Spanish National Court announced sentences to three members of the jihadist center who were involved in the August 2017 attacks in Barcelona.
Both of them were found guilty of belonging to a terrorist organization; keeping of a weapon, storage, as well as the manufacture of explosive and flammable substances or devices of a terrorist nature and intent to cause damage.
Another defendant, Said bin Yazza, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for collaborating with a terrorist center.
None of the three convicted were directly involved in the attacks, so in early July last year, the Spanish National Court confirmed that they would be judged for murder.
Subsequently, the Catalan police eliminated 5 terrorists in Cambrils in the south of the autonomy. They tried to carry out a terrorist attack similar to the one that was carried out in Barcelona. 16 people became victims of terrorist attacks, about 140 were injured.
