OREANDA-NEWS The head of the Council of Federation Commission on Protection of State Sovereignty of the Russian Federation Andrei Klimov said that the demilitarization of Ukraine requires more "depth" than just the Donbass, he wrote in his Telegram channel, according to a Gazeta.ru article.
He noted that the supplies of American long-range systems pose a threat to Russia and force the Russian authorities to complete the demilitarization of Ukraine "in full."
Klimov wondered whether the U.S. authorities realize that the technical range of American multiple launch systems is up to 500 kilometers, while the distance from Russian Belgorod to Kiev is 428 kilometers. He stated that "talk that the West is transferring lethal systems to Kiev's hirelings "not for strikes against Russia" is good for naive idiots".
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine was planning to bombard Russia with missile systems.
