Russia to Resume Railway Service with Mongolia

OREANDA-NEWS Russian Railways will resume passenger rail service between Russia and Mongolia from April 29, according to a TASS report. Thus, two international trains on the Irkutsk - Ulan Bator and Ulan Bator - Irkutsk routes will return to the schedule.
The decision to return to passenger traffic was made by the operative center for prevention of delivery and spread of coronavirus. It is noted that the railway communication with Mongolia was suspended on March 10, 2020.
Earlier, the Uzbek authorities said that they expect to restore rail links with Russia in April. According to the Minister of Transport of the republic Ilkhom Makhkamov, trains can be relevant for a large number of people, so "it is wrong to focus only on air service.
