OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed five Interior Ministry generals and one police colonel, RBC reported, citing a copy of the presidential decree.
The authenticity of the document was confirmed by a source close to the Interior Ministry. Major General Vasily Kukushkin, head of the Vladimir Region police department, Major General Alexander Laas, deputy head of the Altai Territory police department, Major General Andrei Lipilin, head of the Yaroslavl Region police department, were sent out of service, Major General Alexander Udovenko, the chief of the operative department of MIA, Major General Yuri Instrankin, the deputy chief of the department of material-technical and medical support of MIA and Colonel Emil Musin, the first deputy chief of the expert-criminalistic center of MIA.
The reason for the resignation of high-ranking police officers was explained by the usual staff turnover in the ministry.
The President also appointed Police Colonel Alexei Shkolkin to the post of Head of the Department of Internal Affairs in Yaroslavl Region, having previously worked as the head of the Odintsovo Department of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, Putin dismissed Andrei Gurovich from the post of deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
