OREANDA-NEWS Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that the Russian delegation has arrived in Gomel for talks with Ukraine and is ready for them. He told RIA Novosti about this.

The delegation included representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Defense Ministry, and other Russian agencies, including the presidential administration.

Earlier, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov commented on Russian and Ukrainian statements about the negotiations.

He recalled that today Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a statement about his readiness to hold negotiations which would discuss Ukraine's neutral status. For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Minsk should be tasked with such negotiations, which the Ukrainian side was also informed about. Putin called Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, who assured that Minsk would organize a meeting of the delegations and ensure their security.
