OREANDA-NEWS Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the number of unemployed people in Russia increased by 11,500 between May 23 and 30, according to a report by Gazeta.ru.

According to her, the number of Russian citizens working part-time or during the week from May 23-30 increased by 2,700.
She added that the number of vacancies exceeded the number of unemployed citizens registered in the employment service by almost 3.3 times.

Earlier it was reported that the unemployment rate in Russia in April was 4%, which is the lowest value for the last few years. This was reported by the press service of Rosstat.

In all, there are about three million unemployed in the country, the agency said, which is 23% less than a year ago. According to the given data, the unemployment centers of the country registered 0.7 million unemployed - 55.4% less than last April. It is noted that about half of the people are looking for work through friends, relatives and acquaintances, while about a third look for vacancies in the newspapers and online resources.
