Federal Antimonopoly Service Launched an Inspection of Rising Paper Prices in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia announced the beginning of the inspection of the validity of the increase in paper prices. This is stated in the article of TASS.
The reason for the check is a large number of complaints from Russian citizens. FAS has asked the biggest producers for the necessary information. If any violations are revealed, the agency will take appropriate measures.
After the beginning of the armed conflict in Ukraine a number of coated paper suppliers, including Stora Enso, UPM, Sappi and Arctic Paper, announced their withdrawal from Russia or suspension of activities. Enterprises in Russia, on the other hand, have encountered problems with delivery of foreign chemicals, which complicates production.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia assured that there will be no shortage of paper, and one of the largest mills have already restructured their work and managed to adapt to the new conditions.
