OREANDA-NEWS  Serbia will never join the sanctions against Russia. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Alexander Vulin in an interview with the National Defense magazine.

"It would be a blow not only to Russia, but also to Serbia — if, after all our history, after centuries of friendship with Russia, we imposed anti-Russian sanctions. Therefore, we will never go for it," Vulin said.

The deputy Prime Minister of Serbia noted that the West, seeking to force Serbia to impose sanctions, wants to strike "precisely at the psychological and ethical, spiritual sphere" of Russian-Serbian relations. According to him, Belgrade's accession to the sanctions is not capable of harming the Russian economy, but it would be "a strong psychological and moral blow aimed at making Russia feel completely alone."

Earlier, Vulin said that there is a threat of an assassination attempt on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from influential Western political circles.
