Security Officials in Bulgaria Suspect a Six Russians of Organizing Explosions at the Weapons Factories
OREANDA-NEWS. Security officials in Bulgaria suspect a group of six Russians of organizing explosions at the country's weapons factories. This is reported by the representative of the chief prosecutor of the republic Siika Milyaeva. It is specified, that four explosions occurred in the period from 2011 to 2020. The factories stored weapons belonging to the Bulgarian arms dealer Emiliyan Gebrev.
The press secretary of the Prosecutor General's Office of Bulgaria Natalia Mileva announced, that the agency found a connection between four explosions at ammunition depots in the country and the poisoning of an arms dealer Emelyan Gebrev, which was previously blamed on officers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces. Her words are quoted by «BTV» and «Nova».
«We can make a reasonable assumption about these explosions, the attempted poisoning of three Bulgarian citizens and serious crimes on the territory of other states», she said. Mileva recalled, that in all cases, the explosions were activated remotely, and the destroyed ammunition was intended for export to Ukraine and Georgia. There were no injuries.
