OREANDA-NEWS  Sberbank acts as a financial partner for investors who work under the program of preferential lending to tourism infrastructure. It was approved by the decree of the Government of Russia No. 141 dated February 9, 2021 and is being implemented under the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry".

Preferential loans are granted for the construction or reconstruction of hotels and multifunctional centers, which stimulates the development of the entire Russian tourism industry. Now the volume of the Savings Bank's loan portfolio exceeds 125 billion rubles, which is 20 percent more than a year ago.

According to the results of the first and second waves of the program, the Beac is already financing 21 hotel projects with a total credit limit of 43 billion rubles.

As part of the third wave, the acceptance of applications for which ended on February 20, 2024, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation approved another 67 projects worth 187 billion rubles, taking into account participation in the syndicated transaction submitted by the bank. Given the timing of the construction of hotels and the pace of use of credit funds by investors, in the near future it is possible to predict further growth of the loan portfolio of the Savings Bank under the state program.
