OREANDA-NEWS. Sanya's duty-free duty-free chain has expanded into another major mall. Its official opening, according to the Nanhaiwan information resource, took place on December 30 in the area of Haitan Bay.

This is the second phase of the project implemented by the city authorities to develop a network of duty-free shops. A new shopping center with an area of ​​64 thousand square meters. m includes shops with various local and international brands, entertainment infrastructure and restaurants. The building itself, which is shaped like a sink, is divided into four main areas: trade, life, international innovation and food.

The shopping center building was designed by a team of British architects. Its brightest element is the Yunjie Bridge, which connects the new building with the old duty-free shop, built as part of the first phase of the project.

Duty free shops are part of the authorities' plan to promote international tourism in Hainan. In order to create the most favorable conditions for visitors in December 2018, it was decided to increase the maximum amount of purchases in duty free on Hainan from 16 to 30 thousand yuan (from $ 2.28 to $ 4.48 thousand) without restrictions on the number of purchased goods.
