Russians were told the average payback period of higher education

OREANDA-NEWS The payback period for higher education in master's degree programs, depending on the field of study, ranges from three to seven months. This is with reference to the research of the HSE online campus and the platform Career.hh.ru writes Forbes.
The experts compared the average cost of two years of study in online master's degree programs and the average earnings of specialists in the relevant specialties with work experience from one to three years. The fastest way to pay back their education will be for Russians who receive education in the field of management — with an average cost of a master's degree in the amount of 289,545 rubles and an average salary of 95,600 rubles, they will need three months for this.
Three months and three days of work are needed to pay off education related to artificial intelligence technologies (tuition fee — 595,750 rubles, average salary — 190,383 rubles). For IT areas, this period will be three months and nine days (the cost of training is 582,426 rubles, the average salary is 175,200 rubles), analysts calculated.
It will take from four to five months to pay off the master's degree programs in media and public relations, design, finance and marketing. The longest payback period for psychology students and HR specialists is up to seven months.
Earlier, analysts at the Center for Economics of Continuing Education at the Institute of Applied Economic Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences predicted that by 2035 the share of candidates and doctors of sciences among the teaching staff in Russia would decrease to 42.6 and 6.9 percent, respectively. For comparison, in 2023, these figures were 57.3 and 14.7 percent. According to experts, in absolute numbers, 18.2 thousand candidates and 2.5 thousand doctors of sciences will be missing in the Russian Federation.
