OREANDA-NEWS In the near future, Russians will be able to see a decrease in prices for a number of goods. Analyst Daniil Kashin told about this in a conversation with Vechernaya Moskva.

According to Rosstat, in 2023, buckwheat and potatoes became the cheapest products — prices for them decreased by almost 20 and 10 percent, respectively. This is due to the excess supply in the market of consumer demand for these goods.

Kashin noted that also thanks to the established mechanisms of parallel import, the cost of gadgets has decreased — devices arrive in sufficient quantities through friendly countries. The expert believes that in 2024, prices for household chemicals will fall by 5-7 percent in Russia. Previously, this category of goods was noticeably more expensive, since raw materials for the industry were supplied from abroad, but now many components are produced domestically, he explained.

Earlier it became known that movie tickets have risen in price in Russia. According to the Unified Automated Information System of the Cinema Foundation, in early January the average price reached a record 383.3 rubles. The industry calls the price increase a forced measure due to the departure of Hollywood cinema, which caused losses for cinemas, as well as the need to renovate the halls.
