OREANDA-NEWS Russian Ambassador to Tel Aviv Anatoly Viktorov called on his fellow citizens to leave Israel amid the tense situation in the region. He stated this in an interview with TASS.

"As for the current extreme aggravation, we are strengthening this recommendation [not to visit Israel]," the senior diplomat said.

The head of the diplomatic mission stressed that so far such opportunities are available in the form of ongoing regular flights operated by a number of air carriers, including the Israeli El Al.

Earlier, Russian citizens who were in Iran were urged to refrain from taking photos and videos on the streets and not give in to the panic that "detractors are trying to sow in social networks." Such an appeal was issued by the Russian Embassy in Tehran.
