OREANDA-NEWS  Units of the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlements of Severnoye, Lastochkino and Pobeda in the Donetsk People's Republic in a week. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu.

Speaking at a meeting of the board of the Defense Ministry on February 27, Shoigu added that in other areas, Russian troops continuously carry out powerful fire attacks on AFU facilities, preventing the enemy from restoring its combat capability.

Also during his speech, Shoigu noted that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the special operation amounted to 444 thousand soldiers.

The Advance publication wrote that after the capture of Avdiivka by the Russian Armed Forces, the situation at the front will begin to develop rapidly.
