OREANDA-NEWS A tourist boat collided with a signal tower near the port of Chalong on the island of Phuket in Thailand, 37 passengers were on board, including 21 Russians, according to the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Phuket province.

"The speedboat Tanatip Marine 555, returning to the port of Chalong in Phuket province after a boat trip, collided with a signal tower near the shore. There were 37 passengers on board, 21 of them were Russian citizens. Russian tourists received injuries of varying severity and were promptly taken to medical institutions in Phuket," the telegram channel of the Russian diplomatic mission reports.

As noted in the Consulate General, all the victims are in stable condition, they are provided with the necessary medical care.

"The staff of the Consulate General visited the Vachira hospital, where tourists with the most serious injuries were accommodated, they are in constant contact with the authorized bodies of Phuket," the diplomatic mission concluded.
