OREANDA-NEWS. Russian tourists cannot return home, not only from Montenegro, but also from Latin America and Asia due to air travel restrictions amid coronavirus. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Travel Industry.

More than a thousand people cannot fly from Montenegro to Russia, the union said. Many of them are forced to wait right at the airport. "Tour operators continue to report on Russians who cannot return home from countries that have closed their borders. Moreover, the list of destinations is expanding. Argentina, Peru, the Philippines, India, and Azerbaijan have added", the report says.

Several dozens of organized tourists cannot fly away from Peru - the country has closed its borders without warning, tour operators say. Several people cannot leave the southernmost city of Argentina - Ushuaia, from where they were supposed to go to Antarctica, but the cruise company canceled the tour at the last moment.

Also, Russian tourists cannot return home from the Philippine island of Cebu, and they are at the airport, where all cafes and shops are closed, the union said.
