Russian oil supplies to the NATO country turned out to be record-breaking

OREANDA-NEWS By the end of November 2023, daily oil supplies from Russia to Turkey, a member of NATO, turned out to be a record and reached the level of 400 thousand barrels. This is reported by Haber7 with reference to data from the British Stock Exchange (London Stock Exchange Group, LSEG).
The daily volume of supplies of raw materials from Russia to Turkey in November amounted to 14 percent of all offshore oil exports from the Russian Federation. At the same time, the Mediterranean country bought oil from Russia at prices that were comfortable for itself. The average cost of a barrel of Russian raw materials for Turkey turned out to be 5-20 dollars per barrel lower in comparison with foreign brands. This circumstance allowed Ankara to save a total of $2 billion on electricity bills.
In addition, in the first eleven months of 2023, Turkey increased imports of Russian diesel fuel, fuel oil and aviation kerosene by 200 percent. The total supply of these types of products to the Mediterranean country reached a level of 0.29 million barrels per day. At the same time, purchases of diesel fuel from Russia turned out to be profitable for Ankara. Its cost for Turkey turned out to be on average 3.3-20 dollars lower than the prices for other brands of this type of petroleum products in the Mediterranean region.
Earlier it was reported about the growth of exports of Russian raw materials to another country. The Interfax agency cited statistical data from analysts at the Ministry of Commerce of India, according to which, by the end of October 2023, total oil supplies from the Russian Federation to the Asian state increased by 5.3 percent on a monthly basis and reached a level of 6.12 million tons. In annual terms, oil exports to the Asian country increased by 44.2 percent, which allowed Russia to maintain its leading position in the Indian oil market.
