OREANDA-NEWS. The Japanese edition of Nikkei intentionally whips up anti-Russian sentiment by publishing false claims about Russia's foreign policy. This is stated in a statement issued on Friday by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We note the deliberate escalation of anti-Russian sentiment by the Japanese Nikkei publication. We urge the editorial board of this Japanese media to approach the content of published materials more carefully, to avoid distortions and distortions in the interpretation of Russian foreign policy", the Russian diplomatic service noted.
They pointed out that on October 25, the Nikkei newspaper published an article "The rapprochement between Ankara and Moscow allowed by Donald Trump will affect NATO unity". "In the context of discussions about the growing threat from Russia with regard to European countries, the article indicates the placement of medium-range missiles in nuclear equipment allegedly being carried out by our country", the ministry explained.
