OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Embassy in Israel appealed to the Foreign Ministry of the Jewish state with a request to automatically extend the visas of Russian citizens in the country. This was reported to the Russian media on Monday at the press service of the Russian diplomatic mission in Tel Aviv.

"The embassy of the Russian Federation appealed to the Israeli Foreign Ministry with a request to quickly resolve the issue of automatically extending the validity of visas of Russian citizens in the country", the source said. According to him, "the Israeli side assures that this issue will be resolved positively with respect to citizens of all countries with which Israel has agreements on visa-free travel, including Russian citizens".

The agency’s interlocutor noted that “within the framework of the existing powers, the Russian embassy in Israel is doing everything possible” to ensure that the maximum number of Russians expressing such a desire goes home. "First of all, we are talking about those who need an urgent departure from Israeli territory", he said, adding that "on April 28, a specialized Aeroflot airline flight is planned for the export of Russian citizens from Israel".
