OREANDA-NEWS Rostec will present about 200 samples of military, dual-use and civilian products at the Dubai Airshow-2023 international exhibition, the press service of the state corporation reported.

"This year at the event we will present a number of new products at once, one of which will be really large-scale. We are talking about the IL-76MD-90A(E) heavy transport aircraft, which, of course, will attract the attention of visitors. For almost 30 years, an aircraft of this class has been demonstrated abroad for the first time," Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec, said through the press service.

Russia has not presented such aircraft abroad since 1994.

The press service reported that the international premiere of the shortened AK-19 Kalashnikov assault rifle, which "was created for the 5.56 mm NATO caliber, widespread in the world," will also take place.

The concern of East Kazakhstan Region Almaz-Antey previously reported that it would present at the exhibition models of medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems S-350E Vityaz, medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems Viking and short-range Tor-E2, Tor-M2K, Tor-M2KM.

Rosoboronexport will show the guests of the exposition weapons for 5th generation fighters, including RVV-MD2 and RVV-BD air-to-air guided missiles, the X-69 cruise missile, the company's press service reported.

"Rosoboronexport will hold a rich business program at Dubai Airshow 2023. We plan to meet with our partners from the Gulf countries and discuss military-technical cooperation between our states. We will focus on technological partnership projects - the most popular format of interaction in the Middle East today," Alexander Mikheev, head of Rosoboronexport, said earlier.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the pilots of the Russian Knights aerobatics group on Su-35S fighters relocated to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Dubai Airshow 2023 international air show.

The Dubai Air Show will be held on November 13-17.
