Russian athletes are invited to participate in the Games of the Bolivarian Alliance

OREANDA-NEWS Russian athletes are invited to participate in the ALBA Games.
The ALBA Games is a multi-sport event organized by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas. The games are held every two years. Initially, they were intended only for athletes of the ALBA member states, but were extended to other countries of North and South America.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Sports, the head of the department Oleg Matytsin held a working meeting with the Minister of People's Power for Youth and Sports of Venezuela, Vice President for Public and Territorial Development Mervin Enrique Maldonado Urdaneta. During the meeting, the Venezuelan side invited the Russian delegation to take part in the ALBA Games.
The V Bolivarian Games will be held from April 21 to 29. They will include competitions in 35 sports, about 3,500 athletes and 11 countries are expected to participate. In 2023, for the first time, the games will be held in an open format with the invitation of the Russian national team.
In turn, the Minister invited Venezuelan sports delegations to participate in sports competitions in Russia.
