Russian and Indian Businessmen Can Conclude about 100 Agreements after Meeting in Vladivostok

OREANDA-NEWS. A meeting of members of Russian and Indian business in B2B format (business to business) began on Monday in Vladivostok. According to its results, 86 agreements can be concluded, Daniil Polovinka, Deputy Director General of the Agency for Far Eastern Investment Promotion and Export Support, told the Russian media.
"At the stage of elaboration of the event, 86 possible agreements were considered. Probably, within the month we will conclude the first six of them. Only for Primorsky Krai it will give several new projects in agriculture, tourism, and timber processing", said Polovinka.
He explained that the B2B format allows business representatives of the two countries to communicate face-to-face, and at the same time it involves a quick exchange of offers and contacts. "Like on quick dates - people move from table to table in order to get the maximum number of contacts", the representative of the agency for attracting investment and export support added.
The meeting is attended by more than 200 Russian and Indian companies - about 100 on each side. They represent such areas of business as the mining and diamond cutting industries, petrochemicals, tourism, timber processing, energy, medicine and agriculture. In addition to regional firms, the event, which will last two days, is attended by large Russian companies and Indian corporations.
The V Eastern Economic Forum will be held on Russky Island in Vladivostok on September 4-6, 2019. It's expected that the main guest of the forum this year will be the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who was invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ahead of the forum, a delegation of five Indian states led by Indian Minister of Trade and Industry Piyush Goyal arrived in Vladivostok. She will have to get acquainted with the possibilities of the mining sector, diamond cutting industry, petrochemicals, deep timber processing and tourism in the Far East.
