Russian and French Ministries of Labor Will Sign a Declaration of Cooperation in Coming Months

Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin, who takes part in the G20 ministerial meeting in Matsuyama, Japan, held a bilateral meeting on Monday with his French counterpart Muriel Peniko. According to the press service of the Russian Ministry, the parties discussed a number of topics, including the signing of a declaration of intent between the ministries of the two countries.
"The parties discussed the development of professional standards and professional competencies, as well as the signing of a declaration of intent between the ministers of labor of Russia and France. Minister Maxim Topilin noted that the draft declaration is in a high degree of readiness and can be signed in the coming months", the press service said.
The draft document provides for the implementation of cooperation between the ministries in the following areas: development of a decent and safe work system and assistance in ensuring high-quality and affordable employment. During the meeting, the French minister also expressed her readiness to adopt the experience of Russia in the preparation and holding of the World Championships in Excellence according to WorldSkills standards, which France will host in 2023.
Topilin in Matsuyama also met with Turkish Minister of Labor, Social Services and Family Zehra Selcuk and discussed with her the preparation of a draft social security agreement between the two countries. It's noted that the social security agreement between Russia and Turkey will be based on a proportional principle and will apply to citizens of both parties living on their territory.
A two-day meeting of G20 labor ministers is taking place in the Japanese city of Matsuyama. According to the organizers, the main topic of discussion during the two-day negotiations will be the problems of employment, both of the young generation and the elderly, against the background of serious changes in the structure of society.
