In total, 62 thousand Russian citizens visited the island last month, China - 36.4 thousand in second place, Australia - 22.7 thousand in third, India - 19.8 thousand in fourth, Germany - 13.5 thousand in fifth. In total, about 600 thousand Russians have arrived at Phuket International Airport since the beginning of this year. According to local authorities, there are actually even more Russian citizens visiting the Thai island, since it is impossible to calculate how many people arrive here by flights from Bangkok and other Thai cities.

For the second month in a row, Russians hold the leadership among national groups of tourists visiting the resort province. So, in September, 40.2 thousand Russian citizens came here, China was in second place - 37.3 thousand, Australia - 21.1 thousand in third, India - 19 thousand in fourth, Malaysia - 13 thousand in fifth.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the kingdom, the number of tourists arriving from Russia to Thailand has increased by almost 30% over the past few weeks against the background of an increase in the frequency of flights to the kingdom from Russian cities by Russian airlines.
