OREANDA-NEWS  The Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN has requested a meeting of the organization's Security Council, First Deputy Permanent Representative Dmitry Polyansky said in his Telegram channel. The reason was the receipt of new information about the undermining of the "Northern Streams". The meeting is proposed to be held on February 22.

The accident on the "Nord Streams" occurred on September 26, Sweden stated that it was caused by explosions. Russia regarded the incident as an "act of international terrorism", no one took responsibility for the incident.

On February 8, American journalist Seymour Hersh accused the US authorities of undermining the "Northern Streams". According to his source, Norway participated in the bombing. Washington and Oslo have denied this.
