OREANDA-NEWS Scientists have discovered a new way to fight cancer. It works in a certain way.
Specialists of NPP Radiosvyaz of the holding "Roselectronics" together with scientists from Krasnoyarsk have developed nanoparticles capable of detecting cancer cells in the human body and destroying them. This was told to journalists by the director of the enterprise Rinat Galeev.
According to TASS, in order to create "killer nanorobots", a metal nanodisc is attached to the navigator cell (aptamer), which is launched into the bloodstream to search for cancer foci. As soon as they reach the cancer cells, under the influence of the magnetic field in which the patient is placed, the nanodisks begin to oscillate and actually cut the cell membrane and the cell itself.
Earlier it was reported that Russian scientists are working on the creation of a domestic platform technology for combined radiotherapy of oncological diseases. The development is being carried out at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University together with the Russian Scientific Center for Radiology and Surgical Technologies named after Academician A.M. Granov, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia "Priority 2030" program reported on July 27.
