OREANDA-NEWS Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the Maldives Republic Abdulla Shahid will sign an intergovernmental agreement on mutual cancellation of visas on June 25 in the framework of the talks in Moscow.

In addition, as indicated in the message, the heads of the foreign affairs agencies will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral relations, as well as topical issues of the regional and international agenda.

Earlier, on April 30, an agreement on mutual cancellation of visas was signed with Cape Verde. The country's foreign minister, Luis Filipe Tavares, said that this would give our fellow citizens more mobility. “In particular, for Russian tourists who come to our country in large numbers every year. They are becoming more and more year after year. It's great. I hope that this agreement will also affect the expansion of trade and economic ties, ”the minister stressed.
