OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, was submitted for ratification to the State Duma the Treaty between the Russian Federation and Egypt on comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation. Text published in the electronic database of the lower house of Parliament.

The agreement, in particular, provides assistance in creation of conditions for free trade, effective investment cooperation.

The agreement provides for an annual meeting of the Russian-Egyptian Commission on trade, economic and scientific-technical issues. Cairo and Moscow are committed to helping to create the conditions for free trade and effective investment cooperation. Increased attention of Russia and Egypt will pay the energy sector, including nuclear energy.

The text also recorded the desire of Moscow and Cairo to further development of close dialogue and interaction on international and regional level in bilateral and multilateral formats.
