OREANDA-NEWS   Vladimir Putin flew to Tatarstan, where he will take part in the opening of the "Games of the Future" and meet with colleagues from other countries.

It is expected that the heads of Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will arrive at the opening ceremony of the international multisport tournament. The President of the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, also arrived in Kazan.

Putin mentioned plans to meet with some colleagues the day before, speaking at the forum "Strong Ideas for a new time."

The "Games of the Future" will be held in Kazan and Sochi from February 21 to March 3. This is the first international multi-sport competition in hybrid disciplines. Each of them combines the concept of "digital".

Digital sports are a type of sports and entertainment events that combine elements of physical activity and interaction with a virtual environment. Participants put themselves through various loads and exercise in the real world while being connected to a digital environment. This combination is achieved using wearable devices, sensors, trackers and virtual reality headsets. They provide real-time feedback, capture data, and enhance the overall sports experience by embedding digital elements into the physical space.

It is expected that more than 260 international teams and over two thousand participants from around the world will take part in the tournament.
