OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin, together with Acting Iranian President Mohammad Moher, discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries. This was announced by the Kremlin's press service in its Telegram channel.

"Certain issues of interaction in the international arena were touched upon, including in connection with the Russian presidency of the BRICS association, of which the Islamic Republic of Iran became a full member on January 1, 2024," the Kremlin said.

Earlier, the special representative of the President of Russia for Afghanistan, Director of the second Department of Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zamir Kabulov noted that the preparation of a cooperation agreement with Iran was suspended due to Tehran's preparations for the presidential elections.
