OREANDA-NEWS Vladimir Putin has arrived in Mongolia on an official visit.

The Head of State will take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the joint victory of the Soviet and Mongolian Armed Forces at Khalkhin Gol. In addition, the parties will hold negotiations in a narrow and expanded format.

Vladimir Putin and Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Khurelsukh will exchange views on current international and regional issues, as well as discuss prospects for further development of bilateral relations of comprehensive strategic partnership. As noted in the Kremlin's press service, it is planned to sign bilateral documents following the talks.

Putin received an invitation to visit Mongolia in October 2023 at a meeting with Ukhnagiin Khurelsuh in China. The previous trip of the President of Russia to this country took place in 2019.
