Putin and Erdogan Hold a Bilateral Meeting in Istanbul

OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin holds a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul. Leaders began a one-on-one meeting in the presence of translators. The conversation takes place in a closed to the press mode.
Earlier, the Kremlin press service reported that during the talks it was planned to discuss issues of further development of Russian-Turkish cooperation and urgent international issues, including the situation in Syria and Libya.
Before the start of negotiations, Erdogan met Putin in front of the Halich congress center. Together they went up to the second floor - into the hall, where the conversation of the two presidents takes place. While the presidents are talking face to face. It's expected that, as necessary, relevant ministers from the delegations of the two countries will be involved in the negotiations.
The Russian delegation at these negotiations is represented by Assistant to the President Yuri Ushakov, Presidential Special Representative for the Syrian Settlement Alexander Lavrentiev, Minister of Energy Alexander Novak, Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Rosatom Head Alexei Likhachev and others.
