OREANDA-NEWS. American 20 year old rapper and songwriter Pop Smoke (Bashar Jackson) was shot dead in a house located in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles (California, USA).

According to TMZ tabloid, at about 4:30 local time, two masked men burst into the house where Pop Smoke was. They fired several shots, and then ran out of the house and fled. The publication clarifies that the rapper was taken to the hospital, where he died. The police detained one man, but later released him.

NBC News, citing the police, writes that two to six people broke into the house, one of them was masked. Officers said that it is still unclear who owns the house where the shooting took place.

Condolences over the death of the rapper on social networks were expressed by artists Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent.
