OREANDA-NEWS  Currently, the next stage of checking the combat readiness of the country's military units is being carried out in Belarus. Within the framework of it, the aircraft of the Armed Forces of the republic and Russia will patrol the airspace.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported that the tasks will be performed by the crews of the republic's Air Force and air Defense forces together with the crews of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that military brigade exercises are being held in the republic in order to practice defensive actions due to the tense situation near the country's borders.

The press service of the President of Belarus subsequently reported that the security forces had received information about the possibility of a significant aggravation of the operational situation. According to Alexander Lukashenko, NATO is building up its military potential near the borders of the republic, and the number of attempts to infiltrate saboteurs into Belarus is also growing.
