OREANDA-NEWS Russia needs to work vigorously on world markets, despite the sanctions, because the holy place is never empty, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.

"The market is also quite competitive and ruthless, having lost positions in it once, then it takes decades to somehow win them back. A holy place is never empty. And if we leave, others will take the place of our diamonds, and other oil will take the place of our oil, and so on and so forth," Peskov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin in response to a question about possible restrictions on the supply of Russian uranium, titanium and nickel to the world market.

"And therefore, of course, we need to work vigorously on world markets in order to maintain our positions despite these illegal restrictions," he added.

"International markets are a very complex mechanism that does not want to give up any components at all. And the imposition of sanctions against some side does not mean at all that the market will automatically slam some doors in front of the products of this country," the Kremlin representative said, answering the question whether unfriendly countries that proclaimed their rejection of Russia's products are buying Russian products.
According to him, "there are ways, there are ways, there are supply chains, logistics chains, and still goods enter the world market."

"Another thing is that costs are rising, prices are rising, this leads to an imbalance in world markets. That is, sanctions have a negative impact on the global economy as a whole," Peskov added.
