OREANDA-NEWS  Pakistan is still interested in joining the BRICS, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb told RIA Novosti.

"Yes, it is," he told the agency on the sidelines of the annual ministerial meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington, speaking about Pakistan's intention to join the BRICS.

Pakistan submitted an official request to join the BRICS in November 2023, and Islamabad emphasized that they hope for Moscow's assistance on this issue.
