OREANDA-NEWS In the first four months of 2024, kitchen furniture has risen sharply in price in Russia — it has increased in price by 10 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Such data is provided by the head of the department for the development of sales channels "Kitchen Yard" Karina Gudova.
According to the expert, the increase in cost is associated not only with the rise in price of materials, but also with the transition to products from friendly countries — the delivery of such goods is longer and more expensive. Gudova added that at the beginning of 2024, Russians' interest in kitchens was at the level of the same period last year, but against the background of its slight decrease in the second half of 2023, there is now an increase of 12 percent.
The specialist admits that in the second half of 2024, prices for kitchens may increase by 5-7 percent. The cost of such furniture may additionally be affected by an increase in employee salaries against the background of unprecedented low unemployment and high loan rates for enterprises.
Earlier, Russians rushed to buy chairs with spikes and penises after Pavel Durov's interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
