OREANDA-NEWS  The Omani coast guard is searching for the crew of an oil tanker under the flag of the Comoros that crashed near the coast of the Sultanate, 16 citizens of India and Sri Lanka have disappeared, the Oman Maritime Security Center reported on the social network X.

"Regarding the incident with the Prestige Falcon oil tanker capsized southeast of Ras Mudarak under the flag of the Comoros, it can be said that its crew of 16 people, 13 Indian citizens and three Sri Lankans, is considered missing, searches and a joint rescue operation are continuing to locate the crew," they noted in the center.
The tanker capsized 25 nautical miles off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman on Tuesday night.
