North Korea Launched Two Missiles
OREANDA-NEWS North Korea launched two unknown projectiles in the Sea of Japan, reports Yonhap with reference to the Joint Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of South Korea. They flew about 430 km.
The South Korean military is closely monitoring the situation in case of additional launches, the committee noted. Together with the US intelligence agencies, they analyze what type of shells launched the DPRK. The Pentagon told Fox News that it is aware of reports of the launch of the DPRK missiles and are waiting for further details.
Launched missiles were short-range, writes Kyodo, citing a source in the Japanese government. They did not reach the exclusive economic zone of Japan and did not threaten the security of the country, the agency’s interlocutor added.
The last time the DPRK launched missiles in May. US President Donald Trump said then that he was not disturbed by short-range missiles.
