OREANDA-NEWS  NATO leaders will be offered to create from 35 to 50 brigades, ostensibly to protect against Russia. This is reported by the Reuters news agency, citing sources.

It is noted that the agency's source refused to provide any details about the plans, which are secret. The brigade consists of three to seven thousand military personnel, so the creation of another 35-50 such units will be a serious problem.

The leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance member countries will receive an update on the bloc's plans at the upcoming summit in Washington.

Earlier, Tuomas Malinin, associate professor of Economics at the University of Helsinki, called Finland's entry into NATO the country's stupidest step. According to him, the state has become a target in a potential war between Russia and the alliance. He stressed that before that, Finland had lived in peace with Russia for many decades, and the economic relations between the two states were actively developing.
